Willow is the first record by Bradley J. Sime. Willows are famous for their toughness, size, and will to live. Real beautiful, too. This record isn't really anything like that. It's just sort of lo-fi stuff, y'know, good for whenever you're like on a walk, or, I dunno, doing something. I thought about willows the whole time I was making it, though. I wanted the songs to be something that a willow could listen to, if a willow ever does, while it stands somewhere nice and muddy, just kind of moving in the wind or something. Smiling at nothing in particular. You might be picturing a sunny day, but it's not really sunny. Not cold or anything, either. Just, y'know, like, right. Easy. It's not trying to reinvent the wheel. These are songs about different things.
